Responding to the internationalisation agenda: implications for institutional strategy
This research project was funded and published by the Higher Education Academy, UK in 2007.
The researchers investigated the impact of three factors on UK higher education institutions:
- the increasingly dynamic global higher education (HE) context
- the impact of the global context at policy level in the UK
- the ways in which higher education institutions are responding to this changing environment including: more co-ordinated approaches to international activities; the development of international strategies; administrative restructuring of internationalactivity; attempts to review the internationally relevant content of curricula; and moves to improve the overseas student experience and support for international students.
